#LondonFoodWorldTour - FAQ

LondonFoodWorldTour-ers in China Town
LondonFoodWorldTour is discovering the world one restaurant at a time without leaving London at all!
Every weekend, we meet people from different countries, living or visiting the British capital, and share with them a tasty meal in a typical restaurant of the country we are “travelling” to.
The more we eat, the more we explore the city, the more... the merrier! :)
We started our project on January 2015 and our community has grown from the 2 of us, to about 50 people having joined at least one of the "Food Trips".

How do you decide what countries to visit?
We are following the path of an ideal road trip: we move across bordering countries, starting from the UK - where we live - towards east. This is where we've been so far --> Countries

How do you look for people to join your Food Trips?
We look for people from a specific country, living in London or visiting it, and we contact them on Couchsurfing, Facebook or other social networks. All the foodies that joined at least one of the LondonFoodWorldTour stops can then stay in touch with the whole gang on a closed Facebook group and be directly updated about the next events.

How do you pick the restaurants?
We rely on friends suggestions and online reviews, mainly on Yelp, Tripadvisor and Timeout.

How do you order food when you're in a group?
We usually have a selection of starters to share and a main per person - then we end up sharing everything, really! :D

Who pays the bill?
As a rule, each person pays for what s/he ordered, but, as we share most of the dishes, we usually agree on splitting the bill equally among all the people at the table.

What do you do after leaving the restaurant?
We usually go all together for a walk or a coffee. Sometimes we even ended up having dinner together! :)
